laying the foundation

 Happy Saturday everyone!!

I've already done an in-depth review of every foundation I've tried here, but today I'm just going to give you a brief overview of my favorites and the ones I have on hand.

ItCosmetics CC+ Cream: A game changer! It does come off a bit so I mostly use it for fun days when I don't need full coverage all day long. I use shade "Light"

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation: The BEST foundation EVER!! And I have tried a LOT. It doesn't come off, it sets beautifully, it doesn't oxidize too badly, and it is FULL COVERAGE, BABY. I use shade "Vanilla"

Estee Lauder Double Wear: Since having to wear a mask at work, this is my go-to every day foundation. It is there to STAY. One layer is definitely not full coverage but it is very buildable. Be careful with setting it because if you use a loose translucent powder to set it, it will crack. You really don't even need to set it with a powder... especially if you have naturally dry skin. I have been wearing shade "Desert Beige" - and just a heads up, this baby is MATTE. I have not had any issues with it oxidizing. If you want low maintenance but good coverage, this should be your baby! It doesn't come with the pump, you have to buy it separately.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation: I like to keep this on hand because it gives me "Barbie Skin" (lol) for events or when I know I'm going to be taking photos, but it doesn't feel great on my skin. It also has a weird smell and it's easy to use way too much since it doesn't have a pump. It's definitely not made for everyday wear. It definitely oxidizes severely too, and if you wear it every day it will break you out. Sorry, I'm not doing a very good job selling this one but I want to be honest!! I'm glad I have it on hand but I wouldn't purchase it again.

NARS Radiant Creamy Foundation: I love the texture of this one!! One pump is definitely not enough for your whole face but the coverage is full yet natural if you use 2-3 pumps. It doesn't really oxidize. The shade I have right now is "Gobi" - it's really my winter shade or my "I haven't been self-tanning lately" shade, lol!
